Forget about your weight in gold, what about in toasted bread? Linda Darke Swaynons took 2,400 pieces of toast, 150 pounds in all, and created an installation for Toast 2009, currently at Darke Gallery. Besides the mountain of bread, there are paintings and prints of toast, a picture hunt (where you can look for images in the browned slices of bread) and a creative station where you can make your own toast art. The gallery is also hosting Tea, Tiffany Ownbeys papier-mâché sculptures. Noon to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays. Through Janaury 17. 5321 Feagan. For information, call 713-542-3802 or visit www.darkegallery.com. Free.
Wednesdays-Saturdays, 12-5 p.m. Starts: Jan. 10. Continues through Jan. 17, 2009
