Tuna Does Vegas
Jaston Williams, Joe Sears and Ed Howard have been at it for two decades -creating those dark and funny characters who make up the citizenry of Tuna, Texas, a place where old women love chickens but hate kids, and kill dogs who wander into their yards with "bitter pills" of their own making (strychnine-laced biscuits). Horrifying as this might sound, these small-town oddballs (and there're a whole slew of them) are hysterically funny as played by the wildly versatile Williams and Sears. In the latest production, Tuna Does Vegas, this scary group of rednecks travels to Sin City. See dueling Elvises along with good Christians who "get down on their knees and pray for something nasty to come up." Get your tickets and "see you in Gomorrah," as one hilarious character says. 8 p.m. Friday, 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday, 3 and 7 p.m. Sunday. Hobby Center, 800 Bagby. For information, call 800-745-3000 or visit www.tunadoesvegasthetour.com. $25 to $65.
