Two Days, One Flick
Waiting around for Ben and Matt to Project Greenlight your film is hopeless. You wanna make your masterpiece? You got two days, pal. Your sleepless weekend starts today with the 48 Hour Film Project. You and a team will write, shoot, edit and score an original flick. Contest organizers will give you a character, a prop, a line of dialogue and a genre all to include in your movie.
Then, as they say, it's showtime. By Sunday, May 21, your film must be wrapped, edited, done. The completed works will be screened on Wednesday, May 24, and Thursday, May 25, at the River Oaks Theatre (2009 West Gray). The winning Houston team will represent H-town at an upcoming 48 Hour Film Project national screening. Good luck, Spielberg. When Ben and Matt come calling, be sure to mention it took you only two days to become a star. Teams meet from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the Dean's Credit Clothing, 314 Main. For information and registration, visit www.48hourfilm.com. $125 per team.
