Unbeatable, A Bold New Musical
When Laurie Frey found a lump in her breast, she waited a full year to go to the doctor. She was too busy, she kept telling herself. Of course, by the time she went in, the cancer had spread and Frey was in for a full-out health crisis. Out of that terrible ordeal she co-wrote a book with Eric Coble called Unbeatable, The Whole Story. Coble then went on to pen Unbeatable, A Bold New Musical that opened to standing ovations at Phoenix Theatre in August. The funny show, which features oddball scenes like a Miss Chemo Pageant dream sequence, focuses on surviving and learning whats important in life. Its making a stop at Stages Repertory Theatre before moving to Off Broadway in October. 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 3 and 7:30 p.m. Sundays, 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
