“What’s in a Line?”

Judith Cottrell and Alex Lopez started work for the exhibit “What’s in a Line?” with a simple question: What is the purpose of an art gallery? Through independent and collaborative drawings, installation and various other media, Cottrell and Lopez consider whether a gallery is just a place to exhibit art, part of the art or something in between. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays. Through September 27. Lawndale Art Center, 4912 Main. For information, call 713-528-5858 or visit www.lawndaleartcenter.com. Free.
Mondays-Saturdays. Starts: Aug. 22. Continues through Sept. 27, 2008
