Leave it to a Longhorn to figure out how to have a good time and do good at the same time. “We want to do both,” says Kayleigh McCormac, a member of the University of Texas FACE AIDS chapter and chair for the “Face the Music: An Evening of Jazz Dedicated to Fighting AIDS in Africa” concert. The show features the music of jazz group the New Generation (Dustin Kaufman, Danny Kamins, Colin Cuming, Isaiah Allen and Zach Clarke), with proceeds going to FACE AIDS, an organization that raises money to support AIDS missions in Zambia and Rwanda. Yes, this is education/activism disguised as entertainment; but hey, why can’t you do both at the same time?
