The Ginger Man Pub

The Ginger Man Pub

Boasting what the bar claims is "America's largest selection of import draughts," the Ginger Man surely has a brew to suit you amongst the 68 on draft and additional 140-150 bottled suds.
Under The Volcano

Don't miss the "steak night" special on Monday nights, when a 16-ounce USDA Choice ribeye with tossed salad and mashed potatoes is a bargain.
Dan Electro's Guitar Bar

Dan Electro's Guitar Bar

A smattering of old guitars and groovy fluorescent skating-rink stars decorate the walls, and Dan Electro's corner stage has played host to too many local and regional names to count (most often blues, folk, roots-rock and hard rock).

    O'Malley's Stage Door Pub

2022 Post Office St. Galveston, TX 77550
409-763-1731 This lively, historic Galveston pub is located next door to the Grand 1894 Opera House and steps away from an assortment of art galleries, neighboring bars, and inviting restaurants. Our bartender told us O'Malley's is the place where Galveston's locals from all walks of life come to relax and find out what is going on in the city, and where tourists are always made to feel welcome. Located in what was part of a red-light district known as The Line from the 1890s into the 1960s, one side of the bar in fact used to be part of a brothel itself. Old cutout illustrations of pinup girls with names and phone numbers written next to them, presumably representing available prostitutes, were found attached to a hidden wall that was discovered after Hurricane Ike did some damage to the bar and are now on display. More than 100 craft beers are sold at O'Malley's in addition to the pub food, which includes old-fashioned hot dogs, Frito pie, and what the staff claims is the best Reuben sandwich in Southeast Texas. Visitors should check out all the colorful items on display above the bar, including a lamp made from a prosthetic leg that once belonged to a patron's father. 4937 Martin Luther King Blvd. Houston, TX 77021
713-847-7757 Situated on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, just south of Old Spanish Trail, Third Ward’s Red Rooster club has been in operation since the mid-1970s. Patrons are encouraged to “dress to impress,” and the club is often filled with dapper folks looking to dance the evening away to some blues and soul tunes. The dance floor is full even on Wednesday, loaded with customers who enjoy the grown ‘n’ sexy atmosphere. It’s a common sight to see the bar stacked deep with people ordering drinks, but fear not: cocktail waitresses circulate throughout the large room, stopping off at the dozens of tables. OTC Patio Bar

3212 Kirby Drive Houston, TX 77098
832-691-6999 At OTC, loud, danceable music blares over the speakers inside, and young successfuls refill their poison before making their way outside for a game of corn hole and an opportunity to actually hear each other speak. Lively and rambunctious, this crowd comes to party. Parking is limited, so bring cash for the valets on the weekend. But this is all only pregaming for Roak, which may be the most popular club to open in this area in the last half-decade. Read more about OTC Patio Bar >>
