The Health Museum, in partnership with the Duke University Talent Identification Program, presents Academic Adventures in the Houston Museum District. These day-long courses provide challenging, hands-on learning experiences that promote creativity and critical thinking while also allowing students to explore topics not typically covered in school. Classes for October 22 include: Tissue Engineer for a Day, Pharmacist for a Day, and Designing Incredible Machines.
This program is open to fifth and sixth grade students who have participated in the Duke TIP 4th -6th Grade Talent Search. Registration is available at thehealthmuseum.org. Cost is $160 per course and includes the cost of all program material, supplies and lunch.
