Sarah Lowe, owner of The Art Cellar of Houston, and Guerra Studios founder, Marco Guerra are set to host the 2nd ART IS AN Outdoor Market, an assembly featuring a variety of artisans, designers, culinary artists and more at West Houston’s massive, park-like site, Republic Square.
Headlining the fresh purveyors this fall include Spring-based, Casian King Food Truck, serving up unique Cajun and Asian fusion items for breakfast, lunch and dinner such as po’boys, kimichi fries, tacos and rice; 52 Pickup Meals, offering healthy meal prep for individuals and families, plus catering and delivery services. Samplings will include containerized healthy meals and catering platters; “mom and pop” shop, Popcart, featuring a mobile cart full of all-natural, small batch ice pops on a stick. Flavors change weekly and are always made using fresh fruit and ingredients; Caroline Brock Photos & Paper Art, specializing in framed photos, paper art and jewelry; and Rob Gladstone Digital Art, highlighting visual digital art, abstract and scenic work.
The community-driven event is open to the public and free of charge. Clothing and jewelry dealers, painters, woodworkers, photographers and farmers alike will gather together throughout the picturesque grounds of Republic Square. Live entertainment and food trucks will be on site.
