Rice University violinist and Artist Diploma candidate William Shaub will lead a small chamber orchestra from the violin in J.S. Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 and Bach's Concerto for Two Violins, with special guest violinist and world-renowned soloist Cho-Liang Lin. Rice doctoral pianist Frances Lee is also featured in Brandenburg 5's stunningly virtuosic harpsichord part: a part that Bach composed for himself to perform in the presence of royalty. Please join after brunch on Saturday for a quick and exciting dessert: a pair of Bach's most innovative works that helped define "the Baroque concerto" as a genre.
