[Organizer's description:] Fort Bend County Libraries’ Bob Lutts Fulshear/Simonton Branch Library will present a fun and informative program, “Bats: Nothing to Fear,” on Monday, October 17, beginning at 6:00 pm, in the Meeting Room of the library, located at 8100 FM 359 South in Fulshear.

Kristine Rivers, certified Texas Master Naturalist, will talk about bats that live in the Houston area. Hear about common misconceptions about bats, as well as the environmental impact of these nocturnal mammals. Rivers will also provide tips on how to attract bats to one’s yard.

Rivers began studying zoology at the University of Oklahoma. She has maintained a lifelong interest in nature and wildlife, and enjoys sharing her love of animals with others.

The program is free and open to the public. For more information, call the Bob Lutts Fulshear/Simonton Branch Library at 281-633-4675 or the library system’s Public Information Office at 281-633-4734.
