Dawn Mountain Center for Tibetan Buddhism will host a special symposium on the art of modern spirituality amid chaos at Rice University. The symposium marks a milestone birthday for co-founder Anne Carolyn Klein. To create a meaningful celebration, five experts in Buddhism and religion will present on living your values, Buddhist views on grief and end of life learning. Dawn Mountain Founders Anne C. Klein and Harvey B. Aronson will also participate in the event titled, “Beyond Hard Knocks: Creative Buddhist Voices on Learning from Experience.” Speakers Marcia Brennan, Guy Newland, Ken McLeod, Daniel Cozort and Sarah Jacoby will discuss their subjects separately and in dialogue. The event will begin with a reception on Friday, Sept. 15 at 6:30pm in the Martell Hall (Rice University). It will conclude Saturday, 16 at 4pm in the McMurtry Auditorium (Rice University).
