After a sold-out inaugural performance in 2016, Houston-based music nonprofit Prima Volta presents their second annual “Brindisi!” on Monday, April 24th from 7:30-9:30pm. Once again, graduates of the Moores School of Music’s renowned opera program will sing booze-related favorites at Saint Arnold Brewing.
Brindisi! 2017 will bring back a few favorites from last year but will focus on works that explore the many faces of love---from seduction and marriage to renouncing it all and riding solo. As a unique reflection of love in the 21st century, the performance will feature the premiere of a song cycle whose texts hail from messages that the singer received on online dating websites. Anna Diemer, soprano, Megan Berti, mezzo-soprano, Brian Yeakley, tenor, and Heath Martin, baritone, will be joined by Dr. Andreea Mut at the piano.
Tickets are $25 and include concert admission and two hours of unlimited Saint Arnold beer. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit Prima Volta’s website at http://primavolta.org.
