In recognition of Meditation Month in May, Fort Bend County Libraries’ Sugar Land Branch Library will present a special program “Deeper Into Meditation” on Saturday, May 6, from 1:00 to 3:30 pm, in the Meeting Room of the library, located at 550 Eldridge.
Daya Sharma will demonstrate the most natural and effective techniques of meditation for people of all experience levels. He will provide suggestions for deepening and stabilizing meditation practices. Those attending the workshop will have an opportunity to practice these techniques during the class.
Daya Sharma has been a software engineer for the past 15 years. Prior to that, he was a researcher in the field of biotechnology. He has incorporated meditation exercises into his daily routine for more than 15 years, and enjoys giving workshops locally on the benefits of meditation.
The program is free and open to the public. For more information, call the Sugar Land Branch Library at 281-238-2140 or the library system’s Public Information Office at 281-633-4734.
