During the months of July and August, the Rothko Chapel’s ‘12 Moments’ series will be tailored toward families and children. Join licensed psychologist and meditation instructor Ann Friedman for a experiential mindfulness offering for parents and children
Mindfulness is a training to let go of these unhelpful thoughts and to pay attention to the present moment with kindness and curiosity. This meditation will include experiential exercises that children can do with their parents at home to focus on the present moment.
Learning mindfulness has been shown to help children focus their attention. It can decrease stress, anxiety and depression in both children and adults and create a sense of well-being.
