As winter retreats and the ground begins to warm, the March Full Moon is known as the Sap Moon. It’s the time of the year the sap begins to flow in plants and trees. And it’s when we here at Messina Hof start to watch the vineyard very closely for bud break, the joyous occasion when our grapevines wake up from their sleep and little green buds appear along the stem. Join us as we celebrate with a special Full Moon Tour and Vineyard Dinner. Guests will be treated to a glass of Sparkling Wine to sip as they hear history and information about the winery, wine making and the vineyard. In the Production area, wines in various stages of finish will be served directly from the fermentation tanks and oak aging barrels to better understand the process of making wine. Dinner will be served in the barren Vineyard under the moon with wines paired with an appetizer and 3-course meal. Space is limited to 40 people.
