[Update: This lecture has been postponed due to unexplained visa delays.] On the occasion of being announced as the recipient of the eighth annual Walter Hopps Award for Curatorial Achievement, celebrated international curator Reem Fadda will lecture on contemporary art from Africa and the Middle East. Previously an associate at the Guggenheim, Ms Fadda now works as an independent curator based in Ramallah, Palestine, from whence she has organized numerous acclaimed exhibitions including the 2016 Marrakech Biennial, the Ramallah Syndrome at the 2009 Venice Biennale, and the inaugural exhibition of The Palestinian Museum in September 2017. The subject of her expertise is vast and underreported, and likely to extend well beyond its scheduled hour.
