With ALL net proceeds going to the HARVEY Recovery fund, the Turkish Fest will be held in downtown Houston to celebrate the rebuilding of our great city and affirm our resolve to lifting all those in need. The 26th Houston Turkish Festival will celebrate all things Turkish, including authentic Turkish food, coffee, live music, traditional folk dancing including the famous whirling dervishes, a kids’corner filled with fun activities, arts & crafts, and a Grand Bazaar. The theme for the 2017 Houston Turkish Festival is “We come in many colors, we live as one”. The Festival will feature award winning performances by the TUANA ANKARA Folk Dance Group from Turkey as well as a collage of other live music and dance shows including “Opera and Keys Under the Stars” featuring renowned Opera artist Mete Tasin and acclaimed Turkish composer Erberk Eryilmaz with piano and violin performances.
