HTXO Full Moon Hike

Howl at the full moon with HTXoutdoors as they take advantage of the first full moon of August (and the miles of hiking trails in Memorial Park) for a Full Moon Hike this Monday. Meet at the rugby fields in Memorial Park and be sure to bring a headlamp or light source (because it will get dark), water (or you will get dehydrated), and bug spray (or you will get bit – and not by a werewolf). The hike should come to an end around 8:45 p.m., but make plans to join your fellow hikers for a bite to eat after. You’ll probably be hungry. [Organizer's description:] HTXO Full Moon Hike August 7, 2017 - 7:30 pm - 8:45 pm Meet at Memorial Park - Rugby Fields N Picnic Ln Houston, Texas, 77007 At its sight, this primal side of you might take over. Ever heard of the lunar lunacy effect or the Transylvania effect? While I am happy to report that no one has transformed at HTXoutdoors on a full moon hike…YET, but we do believe in celebrating its beauty with a nice hike. About the Trail: We are hiking on an actual trail with hills! Yes, right here in Houston! This it not a pathed path which makes it interesting when you hike back at night, in the dark! What to bring: - Headlamp or light source (the trees get thick so you’ll need it) - Water! Summer is here, stay hydrated. It is also good practice to hydrate before your activity - Bug Spray After the hike, we’ll pick a place and grab something to eat! Dog-Friendly: No – it’s too hot!! So unless we get a cold front that drops temps significantly, please leave your pups at home. RSVP For additional info call 210-504-8333 or e-mail ----------------- Get your copy of Houston A to Z while it lasts. You'll find 8 pages of the coolest, the curious, the gems and the underground of our town. It's everything you need to know to be a Houston aficionado and it's completely FREE - today!
