In A Dark Time: Mining Meaning From the Abyss

ung referred to darkness as “the background of soul.” What did he mean by this? A dark time can descend at any point in our lives, leaving us disoriented, bereft, and adrift in a world that no longer makes sense. How do we cope? Can any meaning be mined from the abyss of despair and shattering pain? Poetry, film, meditation, writing exercises, and discussion will coax us into revisiting some of our dark times, searching for glimmers of light. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat or blanket and writing materials.
