[Organizer's description:] Fort Bend County Libraries’ George Memorial Library will present “Meditation for Blissful Living” on Saturday, October 29, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, in the Meeting Room of the library, located at 1001 Golfview in Richmond.

In this mental-relaxation exercise, meditation instructor Shakti will demonstrate various breathing techniques, sounds, and postures, as well as the incorporation of silence, to promote internal peace and clarity. Discover how one can train the mind to be calm and silent while in a state of contemplation, introspection, and reflection. Learn how meditation can help decrease stress, improve focus, and promote compassion for oneself and others by understanding one’s mind better.

A volunteer at Nithyanandeshwara Hindu Temple Houston, Shakti has taught meditation for five years. She has attended five 21-day meditation programs in India.
