Are you interested in learning more about vegetarian diets? Not sure if this dietary commitment is for you? Fort Bend County Libraries will have an informational program for people who would like to learn more about this dietary lifestyle choice on Monday, April 3, beginning at 6:00 pm, in Meeting Room 1 of the University Branch Library, located at 14010 University Blvd in Sugar Land, on the UH campus.
Registered and Licensed Dietician Dianne Gertson will talk about different types of vegetarians, reasons people make these dietary decisions, and how to create tasty vegetarian dishes. Samples will be available for tasting.
Gertson is the County Extension Agent for Family & Consumer Sciences from the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Fort Bend County.
Materials for this program are made possible by the generous support of the Friends of University Branch Library. Proceeds from the Friends of the Library book sales and annual membership dues help to underwrite the costs of special programming and various cultural events at the library.
The program is free and open to the public. For more information, call the University Branch Library at 281-633-5100 or the library system’s Public Information Office at 281-633-4734.
