"IT'S GOING TO BE HUUUGE" ARTIST RECEPTION: October 21 (FRI), 6-8pm EXHIBITION: October 21 - November 3, 2016 Sculpture Month Houston is a city-wide event that celebrates sculpture throughout the city. Invited by the organizer Volker Eisele, Director at Rudolph Blume Fine Art/ArtScan Gallery, Gspot CONTEMPORARY ART SPACE features a group exhibition of Houston based sculptors. The opening reception will be on FRIDAY, October 21, from 6-8pm, and will run through November 3, 2016. Participating artists: Rahul Mitra, Hank Bond, Claire Webb, Randall Mosman, Brandon / Ashley Nepote, Conner / Larson / Renner. Volker states, “The last time the sculpture medium was highlighted and celebrated in Houston was 16 years ago at the “Sculpture 2000” event. Since then, a new generation of gifted sculptors has emerged and created innovative and fresh work.” Selected institutions were asked to participate, by invitation only in order to assure quality and relevance, and will join a succession of existing Houston art events such as Foto Fest, Print Matters Houston, and the Houston Fine Arts Fair to add on to Houston’s reputation as an art friendly city.
