Fort Bend County Libraries’ George Memorial Library will present an introductory class, “Meditation for Blissful Living,” on Saturday, May 13, beginning at 1:00 pm, in the Meeting Room of the library, located at 1001 Golfview in Richmond.
In this mental-relaxation exercise, meditation instructor Anusha Thiagarajan will demonstrate various breathing techniques, sounds, and postures, as well as the incorporation of silence, to promote internal peace and clarity. Discover how one can train the mind to be calm and silent while in a state of contemplation, introspection, and reflection. Learn how meditation can help decrease stress, improve focus, and promote compassion for oneself and others by understanding one’s mind better.
