The Nature Discovery Center's 23rd Annual Twilight Gala is chaired by Center advocates Rachel and Todd Auwarter and Meghan and Ken Lutschg. On Friday, November 17, guests will enjoy a lively cocktail hour, fine dining, a short program highlighting the role that nature plays in our lives, and music by the band Password.
“A Wild Night for Wild Life” celebrates the impact that nature connections have in our lives. With nature pushed into the margins of a usual daily experience, the Nature Discovery Center is passionate about making sure those nature sparks continue to fly. "If you have ever gotten lost while hiking in the woods or been fascinated by the graceful moves of spring butterflies, remember how lucky you are. We must preserve these special nature connections and make it easier for us all to experience the wonders of nature. The Center offers events and activities throughout the year for kids, adults and families – there is definitely something for everyone here. We do this to make sure all folks have the chance to incorporate a little ‘wild’ in their lives," said NDC Executive Director Henry Owen.
The gala chairs and host committee invite you to join in this evening of celebration and inspiration, to be held at the Houstonian Hotel. More than 250 guests will attend the festivities which will include auctions, dinner, and dancing. All gala proceeds benefit the Center’s year-round education programs and park maintenance.
