In recognition of World Hunger Awareness, Phenomenal Pearls Educational and Charitable Foundation (“PPECF”) and the 100 Black Men Houston Metropolitan Chapter will host a Real Men Who Cook fundraiser on Sunday, November 12th from 2-6 PM at the Buffalo Solider Museum, 3816 Caroline St. Houston, TX 77004.
Local men will prepare their best entrees, appetizers, side dishes and desserts for guests to sample. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase additional tickets for tastings and to support their favorite “chefs.” Chefs will compete in each category for top prizes in this fun-filled and fun-spirited competition. Additionally, prizes will be given away to winning guests through raffles and silent auction.
Ticket prices start at $20 for adults, $10 for students, $8 for children (12 and under). Group ticket prices are $70 for a group of four. Additional meal sample tickets can be purchased at the event. Vendor booth space is available for $100 per table. Food Truck space is available for $250 per truck.
Guests who enjoy the chef dishes during the event will be able to purchase a Real Men Who Cook Cookbook for $20 filled with some of the participant’s favorite dishes.
All proceeds will benefit scholarships to deserving area high school students and support community programming to include, health programs, financial literacy, environmental sustainability, family strengthening, global impact in addition to Hurricane Harvey Relief Efforts.
