Rock for Charity II, like the 1985 Live Aid concert conceived by Geldof and Ure as a follow-on to the successful charity single “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” is the continuation of the initiative of Prometheus Foundation and IIT Alumni of Greater Houston (IITAGH) to organize fantastic evenings of classic rock that bring back memories of our college days while raising funds for charity with focus on children and education.
This year’s Rock for Charity II concert will be headlined by a motley crew of musicians: Dr. Subrata Ghosh of Houston’s Horizon Fusion Band, his bandmate Rajesh Bose , an engineer and erstwhile guitarist of Chandrabindoo, the numero uno band of Eastern India, and the rising rockstar Ritwik Bhattacharya, a musical prodigy, burning up the rock scene in India, Mukul Singhee, ex-IITian, versatile musician from India, Shyama Mishra, a talented musician from India and a HS teacher from Katy, TX and last but not the least, Jeff Stocki, the killer bassist from good ole Texas.
All proceeds will be contributed to two excellent charities, doing super work in the area of children with autism and education:
