In their third and final program of the season, the River Oaks Chamber Orchestra Brass Quintet (RBQ) presents recent works of composers from North and South America. The program includes a fanfare by Jennifer Higdon, Chesapeake by David Sampson, Quinteto Concertante by Osvaldo Lacerda and a new commission by Houston-based musician and composer Paul English. ROCO will host a Happy Half Hour beginning 6 p.m. featuring complimentary wine and a themed cocktail: the Caipirinha.
An optional “Night Out” ticket package ($80) is available for this event. In addition to admission to the “Music from the Americas” performance at MATCH, the ticket includes a complimentary drink during Happy Half Hour, dinner at Brennan’s of Houston following the performance (tax/tip included; alcohol available for purchase) and $5 valet parking at Brennan’s with shuttle service to/from MATCH (not included in ticket price).
