The Great Road Trip: New Stories in the Human Evolutionary Journey opens the 50th Anniversary Season of the Archaeological Institute of America, Houston Society. Dr. John W. Kappelman, Jr., will talk about the most important event in human pre-history, the migration of Homo sapiens from their African homeland to colonize the world. Dr. Kappelman will share recent discoveries on Tuesday, September 26, at 6:30 p.m. at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, 5555 Hermann Park Drive, Houston, 77030. Guests are encouraged to come early to be part of the 50th Anniversary celebrations and enjoy African drumming and dance before the lecture. Afterwards, join us for Ethiopian coffee with cake.
