The TWEENS Read Book Festival is an event created for students in grades 5-8 to celebrate and promote reading by connecting with authors. This year’s festival will be held Saturday, October 22, 2016, at South Houston High School, Pasadena ISD, from 9:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Meet 32 celebrated middle grade fiction authors with keynote addresses from Jason Reynolds, Trenton Lee Stewart and Adam Gidwitz. Other authors include: John David Anderson, Jonathan Auxier, Tracey Baptiste, Kate Beasley, Frank Beddor, Ally Carter, Karen Cushman, Gitty Daneshvari, Margaret Dilloway, Margarita Engle, Elizabeth Eulberg, Dan Gemeinhart, Donna Gephart, Chris Grabenstein, Jennifer Holm, Amy Ignatow, Jo Knowles, Barry Lyga, D.J. MacHale, Cammie McGovern, Lisa McMann, Rene Saldana, Jr., Augusta Scattergood, Monika Schroeder, Tui Sutherland, Lauren Tarshis, Ursula Vernon, Lisa Yee and Karen Romano Young.

There will be an autographing session at the end of the day. Participants must purchase a book from Blue Willow Bookshop to get into the autographing lines. Pre-register on the website in order to get into the event quickly and have your name entered in the drawing for prizes. You can print out your preregistration form or have it on your phone to scan when you arrive.
