The luxurious splendor and artistic style bejeweled Fabergé eggs became synonymous with Imperial Russia and the ruling Romanov family, and were a popular gift item among Europe's elite back in the day. More than 350 eggs and other objects—all from the private McFerrin Collection—will be on display to dazzle viewers in the exhibit ''Fabergé: A Brilliant Vision'' including the famous Nobel Ice Egg, along with tiaras, jewelry, gift boxes and other items made either made by Fabergé or related to the Romanovs. The collection is so extensive it has even impressed Tatiana Fabergé, the great-granddaughter of original designer/maker Peter Carl Fabergé, who calls it— quite appropriately — ''one of those rare gems.''
