Big Texas Dancehall & Saloon -- Clear Lake

803 NASA Road 1
Webster, TX 77598
281-461-4400
Its big sister resides out in Spring, but the Bay Area's little darlin' of a dancehall reaches its 850-person capacity on the weekends with ease. Adorned with a charming faux Old West vibe - including a coat check - and matching décor in the form of wagon wheels, stuffed foxes and many a Texas flag, Big Texas is ready for any and all boots. A sea of cowboy hats and pearl snaps fill the dance floor as DJs spin everything from Johnny Cash to the Cha Cha Slide; Thursdays, a live band gets everyone to kick up a little dust. Shy types needn't worry; Big Texas' three huge bars and a few well-stocked washtubs of beer, will help you lose those inhibitions. Or you can try your hand at the wall of video games, including the Terminator 2 pinball machine next to Big Texas' cigarette machine - smoking is still allowed inside this Webster watering hole.
