Buffalo Run Park

In April 2000, the City of Missouri City purchased 95 acres from Ft. Bend Independence School District for a storm water detention project in the Cangelosi Watershed. The site is immediately adjacent to Thurgood Marshall High School on Buffalo Run Boulevard. Although the four lakes are used for storm water retention, the city recently completed a park development project to improve this property into an outstanding park with multiple outdoor opportunities for all ages. Amenities: Barbecue grills, Benches, Boat launching ramp, Drinking fountains, Fish cleaning station, Fishing piers, Freshwater fishing, Geo cashing locations, Observation tower, Pavilions, Picnic tables, Playground, Restrooms, Sand volleyball court, and Security lighting
