Cottonwood is just the thing the Garden Oaks neighborhood needed: a solid bar with a large outdoor seating area, occasional live music, and festivals and great food. With more than 30 taps, the craft-beer selection is diverse and delicious, and the chef works hard to create dishes that he knows will pair well with the brews. Both the beer menu and the food menu change occasionally, but one thing that will always be available is the Squirrel Master Burger, a poblano-stuffed masterpiece, and a pint of something local and refreshing. The vibe can get a little hipster on weekend evenings, but Cottonwood has also become a popular spot for families and canine buddies to hang out and play one of the many games set up in the patio area. Bocce, anyone?
