With a decommissioned fire truck out front and a towering sign above the freeway, it's difficult to miss Firehouse Saloon. Past the rustic façade of the entrance is the main room with three big bars, a dance floor, tables (usually crowded) and a stage where country acts play Thursday through Saturday. Upstairs, a small balcony provides a view over the band, and dozens of boots hang from the rafters as memorials to friends, regulars, and fallen firefighters and servicemen. If twang's not your thing, escape for a smoke on the large patio or watch the game on the handful of TVs in the smaller room near the back.
