What this family-owned Cuban restaurant and bakery lacks in atmosphere, it more than makes up for in food. A wide variety of traditional, authentic Cuban dishes made in an open kitchen draws many Cubans. The empanadas are homemade and come in four varieties, all worth trying. Also recommended are the ropa vieja (shredded beef in a tomato sauce), the roast pork and the shrimp in garlic sauce, all served with outstanding rice and black beans and plantains.
