Tapology Gastropub +

David Rozycki

The recently opened Tapology Gastropub in League City was packed with craft beer enthusiasts when we visited on a recent Saturday night. A sommelier is on staff here, and many of the patrons we spoke with seemed very knowledgeable about beer as well. Tapology has 58 craft beers on tap as well as another 80 in bottles, and allows patrons to sample beers before deciding on a purchase. The food here is also good; the manager we spoke with described it as “ramped-up American bar and comfort food.” Current offerings include the Tequila Chimichurri Chicken “Brown Bag” Nachos and Bacon Infused Chicken & Waffles. Tapology plans on having an ever-evolving menu, and we heard talk of a Monte Cristo doughnut sandwich in the near future. Wednesday is steak night with live reggae and coastal music, and a monthly music showcase featuring everything from bluegrass to singer-songwriters is also planned. If you are not a big fan of beer don’t worry, a full bar is also available. Sundays feature a Bloody Mary Bar with tons of fixings.
