Although Alma chef and owner David Guerrero is from Ecuador, it's Peruvian food that's his first love. This passion translates into a fascinating menu of cebiches — which, if you prefer, you can eat straight from the cebiche bar tucked into one cozy corner — and old favorites like lomo saltado keeping company alongside more modern interpretations of classics such as arroz con pato with duck confit, duck chicharrons and a dark beer sauce. The wine list is full of South American gems and the cocktail list heavily features drinks made with Pisco, Peru's national spirit. A big, sunny side patio is ready-made for Alma's brunches and Pisco-based mimosas.
