The name says it all: Guru Burgers & Crepes offers both burgers and crepes on its fun hybrid menu. But don’t look for typical French crepes at this Sugar Land Town Square restaurant. Like the interesting burger choices (the Japaneiro with chimichurri and plantains or the Lamb-itious with feta and pickled onions), the crepes come with a dozen different fillings: Try the Hawaiian with ham, pineapple, Swiss and mango-coconut sauce or the BLT with bacon and goat cheese. Fries come in a plethora of different iterations too, from sweet potato fries to yucca or beet chips. For starters, the beer-battered green beans topped with lump crab shouldn’t be missed, nor should the wonton-wrapped queso fresco cheese sticks. And if you like the mostly local craft beer selection at the casual bar, you can take some to go in a custom Guru growler.
