La King's Confectionery

2323 Strand St. Galveston, TX 77550 | Galveston | 409-762-6100

Location Description:

Since 1920, La King's has been a fixture on Galveston's high street, The Strand. The confectionery has always specialized in old-fashioned treats like saltwater taffy, fudge and peanut brittle. In the 1950s, it added a popular soda fountain that still turns out milkshakes and malts. And today, you can find nearly every type of sweet in its charmingly restored storefront or simply just relax with a cup of coffee and watch the tourists stroll by outside.
