Remember that Nicolas Cage cinematic classic 8MM? The one where he investigates snuff films and gains a goofy S&M sidekick in Joaquin Phoenix along the way? For some reason Lola's reminds us of that movie. We promise that no one gets stabbed here or anything like that. We guess it's all the dark corners and the gritty jukebox that make us feel like some dude named "Machine" is lurking on the patio. Either way, the chill staff pours strong drinks and the atmosphere is hella homey yet stark and industrial. We usually end up at this place most weekends after we have exhausted our patience at the other kiddie bars in the neighborhood.
