A "public house" denotes something more than a place to grab a quick pint, and Nobi Public House in Webster is no exception. It's a place for community and conversation, both of which, at Nobi, revolve around beer. 40 taps' worth, including a nitro tap and a cask engine, and enough bottled options to fill a multi-page spread. Nobi fills up with craft beer fans most nights of the week, and can get a bit loud. Pretty consistently, the "pub" food at Nobi is best when left to its "grub" devices. Take the Butter Garlic wings, simple and meaty affairs with pleasantly crispy skin and a glaze you'll want to lick from your fingers. The nachos come as a pile of house-made, freshly fried flour tortilla triangles topped with a messy amalgam of Viet-stadium ingredients, from chargrilled pork to nacho cheese. The Pork Fries come similarly dressed, and are also worth having. Lunch provides a quieter setting, when you might enjoy a bowl of wonton soup with a buttery, peppery broth and nicely springy noodles. Don't forget to grab a growler of your favorite brew to take home.
