The Mink

A few doors down from the Continental Club, the Mink sits with an almost effortless cool. The club really has two parts, the Mink proper and the Backroom. Both are decorated with vibrant hues and stark black walls. The Mink gears towards a lounge aesthetic with pink flowers and leather furnishings throughout. The Backroom plays host to smallish indie shows and its two performance spaces make mini-festivals a reality. Upstairs is mainly for bigger local acts and weekly DJ nights, while downstairs can be an intimate acoustic setting or a chaotic pit of thrash. The smoking patio facing West Alabama is a hotbed of scene intrigue and drunken music nerd talk on show nights.

The Inside Word on The Mink

This venue has multiple floors and areas to chill with a couple different bars. Great for DJ's upstairs, art downstairs, courtyard for a smaller dance parties and shoot some pool in the back room. Hipsters are in Houston too and this is the place to go if you're one. Good vibes at The Mink! -
I like to dance to white people music sometimes. -
The Mink is just a cool laid back place to have a Lone Star and meet some friends or see a band or a local DJ in The Backroom.
