Menu of Menus Extravaganza - April 2010

The 9th Annual Houston Press Menu of Menus Extravaganza will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2011. This charity event will attract over 2,000 guests to enjoy sampling from many of the restaurants showcased in the 2010 Menu of Menus issue. Guests will also enjoy live music and an open bar. Houston Press Music Awards Showcase - August 2010

The Houston Press Music Awards Showcase is a celebration of Houston's thriving music scene.  This annual event represents a diverse range of music genres and encourages community involvement in both the nomination and selection process.  Musical Categories showcased at the event include latin, folk, rock, country, alternative, hip hop, zydeco, jazz, blues, and many more.  Last year, more than 6,000 attendees converged on downtown Houston to see 60 bands on 10 stages for $10.  Stages were located at House of Blues, Bayou Place and other Main Street venues.  Based on votes cast by the public, the winners of each musical category are annouced at a post-event Music Awards Ceremony.  For more information on becoming a sponsor, click here.  

Best of Houston Launch Party - September 2010

Each year the Houston Press hosts a party to kick off its biggest issue of the year, the Best of Houston, featuring a different them every year.  Themes in the past have included the Seven Deadly Sins and the Ultimate Birthday Bash.  More than 800 people attended last year's event at Lucky's Pub.  The Ultimate Birthday Bash include all your 21st birthday musts including live music, beirut, a shot block, casino games, flip cup, go-go dancers, a shot wheel and free keg beer until the kegs floated.  For more information on becoming a sponsor, click here.
