If it seems Hayes Carll has been gigging in the Houston area almost every other month during 2011, then we agree, and damn sure aren't complaining. This has been a great year for Woodlands native Carll, with the release of his heavily adored KMAG YOYO, which not only made it onto the Houston Press's own yearly Top 20, but also got a nod from SPIN. Just weeks ago, American Songwriter named his slice of smoldering political pillow-talk with Cary Ann Hearst, "Another Like You" off KMAG, as one of the top 50 songs of the year. Helping Carll out on this Houston date will be Shovels & Rope, Hearst's main project with Michael Trent, and none other than local boy Robert Ellis, who is celebrating his first year in the limelight, touring behind July's Photographs. As with any Texas-centric country show here in Houston, we ask that you kindly shut the hell up and listen to the band onstage instead of making New Year's Eve plans at a high volume.\
