Jay-Z & Kanye West Bringing The Throne To Houston October 26 (UPDATED)

UPDATED at 3:34 p.m. Monday to reflect local on-sale information.

This morning Live Nation announced that Jay-Z and Kanye West, two rappers you may have heard of, will bring their brand-new group The Throne's "Watch The Throne" tour to Toyota Center October 26.

Rocks Off applauds the duo for reigniting mass interest in Otis Redding via their single, "Otis," which samples Redding's classic "Try a Little Tenderness" and premiered last week. Starting today, "Otis" is available as a bonus for anyone who pre-orders the deluxe edition of The Throne's album Watch the Throne on iTunes. The full album will be released on iTunes August 8, and to physical retailers and other digital outlets August 12.

Fans who visit Live Nation's presale page starting Thursday can order presale tickets and will also receive a digital copy of Watch the Throne. Card members of the tour's sponsor, Citi, can order presale tickets beginning 10 a.m. Friday via Citi's "Private Pass" program.

Besides songs from Watch the Throne, Jay and 'Ye will perform as much of their respective catalogs as they can possibly squeeze in, no doubt. No specific onsale information for Houston has been released yet. Tickets for the Houston show go on sale 10 a.m. Monday, August 8, at livenation.com, toyotacentertix.com, most Houston-area Randall's stores and by phone at 866-4HOUTIX (866-446-8849).
