Kiss, Mötley Crüe

It's been 30 years since the touring worlds of Kiss and Mötley Crüe converged, when Kiss brought the young L.A. bruisers along on their 1982 "Creatures of the Night" tour. (True Kiss fans will remember that as the tour that featured a stage fashioned to look like an army tank.) Today Kiss is staring down nearly 40 years in the business, and the Crüe are just one of a handful of '80s glam-metal acts still down for the cause. The bands embarked on this summer pairing to counteract what Kiss's Gene Simmons calls the "fake bullshit" currently on the road — citing Rihanna as a main offender, though Crüe drummer Tommy Lee was a tad more complimentary. This will definitely be a multigenerational affair, seeing as how both bands now cater as much to millennials as to baby boomers. Both groups will be pushing out new albums in a matter of months, so expect a few bathroom-break opportunities.
