Things are going well for Max Bemis and his most famous project Say Anything. Bemis recently announced that the band had signed to Equal Vision Records, and that they've finished recording a new album titled Anarchy, My Dear for 2012. Anarchy reunited Say Anything with Tim O'Heir, who produced the critically acclaimed ...Is a Real Boy in 2004, and features a more raw approach, eschewing distorted rhythm guitars and unaffected vocals. While we eagerly await the record, Bemis is on tour all by himself. His jaunt around the country earlier this year sold out most of the venues he visited, playing tunes from Say Anything, his supergroup Two Tongues, and his more low-key work on Max Bemis and the Painful Splits. As a bonus, he'll be bringing home his wife, our own Sherri DuPree of Eisley, for a set. Two thousand twelve should be a good year all around, since we'll be getting a new record from the DuPree sisters, along with Say Anything's latest opus.
