1965: Remembering Houston's Summer of Beatlemania

Tickets for Sir Paul McCartney's November 14 concert at Minute Maid Park, the once and future Beatle's first show in Houston since 2005, are now on sale at Ticketmaster. Right now.

And just to make sure we make this clear right up front, tickets are now on sale in the usual price range, which goes from reasonable (less than $50 per ticket, plus fees and tax) to River Oaks-reasonable (more than $250, but those people can afford it).

The exorbitant service fees and (in)convienience charges originally tacked onto the prices when the show was announced last Friday, more than $350, were definitely a mistake. We checked, and even took a screencap just for proof.

After more than a year in Latin America and Europe, Houston is Sir Paul's second show back in the U.S.S.A. This leg of his "On the Run" tour Sir Paul has since added dates in St. Louis (which beat us by three days), Vancouver and Edmonton. Still no Dallas, but we're kind of hoping he adds San Antonio too, if only to find out if he's as much of an Alamo freak as Phil Collins.
