Sean Kingston, Lil Scrappy, Slim Thug, Paul Wall
As much time as we spend in traffic, Houstonians know good music and beautiful cars are essential to living, loving and driving in the Bayou City. So DUB magazine's Celebrity Auto Show & Concert at Reliant Center will be a perfect storm of sorts, a steamy Sunday afternoon of sweet-ass whips and salty summer jams. Seventeen-year-old Sean Kingston's unique brand of reggae, rap and pop, as heard on songs like "Beautiful Girls" — currently perched at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 — and "Me Love," aims to make all the ladies swoon. Atlanta's Lil Scrappy, who hosts G's Up TV on his MySpace page, hopes his "Money in the Bank" lends weight to his self-proclaimed title "Prince of the South." Screwston's Boss Hogg himself, Slim Thug, and "Still Tippin'" pal Paul Wall will be on hand to turn everything sidewayz with some purple Swishahouse flavor. (Where, pray tell, is Mike Jones?) Park your own ride, custom or otherwise, for $8; Tickets are $20 presale and $30 at the door.
